I was skeptical about a bench that doubles as storage, but the hinged seat lifts smoothly and the inside easily swallowed three throw blankets and a stack of pillows. It’s sturdy enough for daily sitting, and the heathered brown fabric hides pet hair pretty well.

The upholstery is softer than the photos suggest, and I love that the hinged seat pops open easily to stash throw blankets without taking up extra floor space. Perfect little corner spot that actually holds a surprising amount.

The hinged seat lifts smoothly and the space inside is plenty for stashing spare blankets and pillows. Upholstery looks nice and feels sturdy enough for daily use, though I wish the fabric were a bit easier to wipe clean.
