The goldtone metal supports against the dark brown shelves give it way more character than a plain wood bookcase, and it feels sturdy once it’s put together. I’ve had mine holding a full stack of hardcovers for a week now and it hasn’t budged an inch.
The dark brown shelves against that antiqued goldtone frame give it way more character than the plain wood bookcase I had before. Assembly took a bit of patience with the metal supports, but the mixed-material look is exactly what I wanted for my living room.
The five fixed shelves are plenty sturdy for my hardcovers, though I wish the spacing between them was a bit more adjustable. Still, the dark brown against the antiqued goldtone supports gives my living room exactly the modern look I was after.
