The storage drawer is surprisingly roomy, so I’ve actually got table linens tucked away right under the seat. Legs are carved solid enough that the whole bench feels sturdy even when three of us squeeze on it. Definitely the centerpiece of our breakfast nook now.
The storage drawer is the reason I bought this, and I'm glad I did — it hides all our extra napkins and placemats. The cushioned seat is plush enough that guests linger long after dinner, and those ornately shaped legs really anchor the whole dining room.
The cushioned seat looks far more opulent in the photos than it does in person—the fabric feels a bit flat and the appliques are lighter than expected. That said, the drawer slides smoothly and the bench is sturdy enough for daily use, just don't expect the wow factor the listing suggests.
