The rocking motion is so smooth and gentle that I keep drifting off in it during afternoon reading sessions. The solid wood legs feel sturdy even on our hardwood floors, and the chair rocks without any creaking. Exactly the calm, cozy piece I wanted for unwinding after work.
Took a chance on this for the nursery and the solid wood legs feel sturdier than they look. The rocking profile is gentle enough to soothe without being jerky. Only wish the seat cushion had a bit more firmness for longer sits.
The rocking motion is smooth and the wood legs feel solid, which I like for a nursery corner. Assembly was straightforward, but the seat cushion is a bit firmer than I'd hoped for long lounging sessions. It looks nice, just not the cloud-like comfort the description kind of suggests.
